I am a Senior Consulting Analyst at Lumina Decision Systems. I was a Research Associate at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. I have a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University jointly in the Department of Engineering & Public Policy and Civil & Environmental Engineering.  I am passionate about alternative energy, sustainable community development, and better policy and decision making through data analysis. Taking a systems-level view of things is the thread that connects all of my professional activities.
